Mu Koh Hong
Mu Koh Hong or Hong Archipelago is one of the most striking and noteworthy unique rock formations. About 12 islets lay in line vertically stretching from the north to the south of Phang-nga and the Krabi sea. The shady silhouettes of the islands trigger the imagination of travellers and invite all to discover Mother Nature's mystique. Amongst the numerous islands of the area, one large island seems to be constantly filled with travellers. The island has only a few beaches but offers plenty of room for travellers to set off on thier kayaks, as they embark upon a sea adventure they will never forget with majestic limestone rocks as their backdrop. The place to be is a large lagoon nestled amongst the embrace of the surrounding mountains. The mountains encircling the lagoon are what gave this island its name, "Hong", (which translates to "room" in Thai language). This mysterious geological phenomenon should not be missed or forgotten.
