Windsurfing & Kitesurfing
Whether you prefer skimming along the surface of the sea or catching some serious air, both windsurfing and kite surfing have become extremely popular on most of Thailand's touristy beaches and islands. From Pattaya to Phuket windsurfers and kite surfers can be spotted throughout the year, as weather conditions along the two coasts provide generally good conditions year round. That said, those looking to learn how to windsurf or kite surf will benefit from the calmer seas in the cool season between November and April. While windsurfing can be more easily learned in a day, kite surfing requires greater instruction, with courses typically lasting three to four days.
